Oh that sounds like good news! Maybe since he's been eating better, he isn't as hungry at each feeding.

Great that you've found something that works well for his little bottom, too. That will lessen the risk of any infection for the little guy.

Good luck, dear, and you're welcome! We're pulling for him!

What would cause Abner to be very weak in his hind legs? I moved him out of his small carrier and into a bigger one where he has room to "Groove" Poor little guy just is having a heck of a time walking. He is rear just kinda falls from side to side when he walks. He still gets where he wants to go.

Has he shown any signs of this before, or is this a new thing for him?

Poor little guy... it could be different things - just that he's weak from having the diarrhea, head trauma, or even a spinal cord injury or birth defect.

He's a tough little thing, isn't he! I hope it is just weakness from having to "go potty" so much and that he starts strengthening up.

Is he active and playful? How's the diarrhea? Is he still eating well?

He is a toughie for sure. Since this episode he has been this way. He is eating, going potty. but really no signs of real playfulness. I am hoping that it is because of the diarrhea. But I am starting to think it might be something congenital. He cannot climb back into his little"nest" I made him out of a hat. I havn't heard him purr either. He did have a head injury..I can see a mark right beside his eye that he lost. I really don't know what he went through before I found him. I'll just keep on the way I am and hope for the best.

Thankx Again

Aaahhhh I forgot about his eye. I guess he did have a head injury then, didn't he, poor little guy.

Have you find the articles on energy therapy? It could certainly help your efforts with the little fella...

I know that whatever happens, this kitten couldn't be receiving more love and care. That does count! We're hoping for the best, too, Abner!

Good Morning
Pretty busy around here with Abner. He really seems to be better. He still isn't walking very well...but he is eating good and his rash is finally clearing. He actually is getting a little Friskey. Really scratches on his bottle when he is full. He is eating a little chicken and gravy off my fingers. He doesn't know what to think about his toys yet, but he really likes my Rat Terrier. I read the article you suggested and I believe this is working. I have known of people that can communicate with animals through imagery. I used to be a vet assist for the state vet at a racetrack for Standardbred racehorses.Did that job for 8 years. Saw the whole thing first hand. So we are cuddling him up, and really concentrating on Healing. Thank you so much for everything Darlene, You are a good person. We'll keep you updated. happy

Way to go, Abner! What a tough little guy!

I'm just so pleased to hear he's doing so well! And yes, imagery and energy work wonders with animals. I've had some lovely experiences working with horses as well!

You're very welcome, and thank you for the sweet compliment! I just love to see kittens given a chance at life that they wouldn't have received. Those animals are always extraordinarily special when they are older!

I am glad too. I have been following this and saynig little prayers. That enrgy and imagery seems to work. Wonder if that works on people too? I have some family members that could benefit from some healing therapies.
