Congratulations on the new baby! At 6 weeks old, your baby can start eating crunchy kitten food just fine, and it will be good for his teeth. If you're going to keep him inside, go ahead and put a litter box up for him. For fleas, you can really only give him baths and use the flea comb until he's 8 weeks old, and then you can put Frontline on him. When you give him a bath, you can put just a couple drops of Dawn dish detergent in with his shampoo, and that will help kill any fleas that might be on him.

Since he was outside, and he has had fleas, he will probably have both roundworm and tapeworm. He'll also need a vaccination between 6 and 8 weeks old. So you'll definitely want to take him in to the vet as soon as you can. Since he hasn't had a mommy, the vet will probably go ahead and give him a vaccination because he won't have much built up immunity.
