Hello to all,
My domestic short haired female gave birth to a litter of 4 kittens about 2 weeks ago, the father being a curl, I had expected 2 at least to have curled ears. ( the curl gene being a dominant gene ) To my surprise non of them seem to have this trait, is there an explanation?

Thanks.

Harris.

Hi Harris,

Well, if you start out with 2 curl parents, not all the kittens in a litter will be curls, so I'd imagine if they were mixed with another breed entirely, the chance lessens a bit. Too bad, too - the curl surely is one adorable kitty!!
