» Maureen Fleury - Eye Washing

Hi Dar:

One of my cats has a runny eye. I just use a piece of dry toilet tissue. My cat doesn't seem to like a wet cloth.

What do you recommend for wiping/washing?

Thanks:)

Mo, I use the little round cotton cosmetic remover pads... normally found around where the cotton balls and such are. Of course I wet mine because I have a smushy face girl and an extreme face boy that give me grief happy But I can see where on my doll faces, a dry one would work just fine. And they're very soft.

I've never had to use any type of medicated eye stuff on any of mine.

Another eye problem, while you've got me thinking about it happy is conjunctivitis. My vet told me for this, to wet the corner of a wash cloth with warm water and suds it up with a teensy bit of baby shampoo and then wipe the eye and repeat again with a new corner of the wash cloth, never using the same piece of cloth over so you don't spread it to other eyes or other kitties.

Nice to see you! happy

I lost my Himalayan last summer. She had cancer and it was so bad we had to put her to sleep.

I'm not sure if we will get another one or not, but they are wonderful cats!

Hey Dar, ltns!
