hmmmmm Did you SEE a bubble coming out of her back end? I've heard that a girl can go 24 hours after the bubble presents itself, but all of my girls have gone into labor within a couple of hours of seeing that. If she hasn't had her kittens by the time you get home from school, I'd get her in to the vet. He might very well tell you to wait her out, but I'd want his opinion.
Has she done any open mouth panting? Is she bunching up into a knot with any contractions? Does she act like she's in any pain?
Good luck, dear! We'll keep Maddie in our thoughts!

I am home, still no babies. The bubble apparently went back in, but she is purring and seems to be content. She is laying in her little corner stretched out, but as with last night, she has her butt against the wall (not the best way to get babies out). I don't want to stress her out by taking her to the vet, but we will call just to ask his opinion.

Calling is good!
99% of the time, the vet will tell you to wait them out as long as they are not in distress.
Funny, my Dutches puts her butt up against the wall, too... I think they're feeling pressure. It certainly won't stop a baby that's ready to come out, though!
Good luck!

The vet said we know more about birthing cats than he does. I guess we will just wait it out! She is still bleeding, and she still loves belly rubs. If she still has not had babies by tomorrow morning, then we are going to call a different vet. Is there anything we can do for her?

She's bleeding? I'm sorry, I didn't see that in your previous post. I would definitely get her in to the vet. She could have an infection.
In the meantime, just keep rubbing that belly
As long as she is calm and comfortable, that's the best you can do until you get her to the vet.
Hope everything works out okay! She could very well have her babies before you make it to the vet!

I would like to take her- the thing is we are doing this for a shelter and they would have to pay. That would not be so bad, but they originally wanted to abort her, and I do not think that they would be too happy with a huge bill. She doesn't even seem like she realizes anything is different =/

Well, try to keep her as calm and still as possible and don't let anything excite her. Keep an eye on how much she is eating and drinking. Is she bleeding a lot, or is she leaving spots where she lies? Is there any sign of puss?
We'll keep her in our prayers. Please do keep us posted!

Really not bleeding a lot. She does not leave spots, and there is no puss at all. She still comes up and says hi when I walk in, and she acts normal. It is so odd! She is still eating, drinking, and using the litter box frequently. When do you think she will start labor again?

5 beautiful babies! 1 stillborn =[. The first one was a little stuck- i had to hold it with a towel while it came out, then rip the sac. Other than that, she did it on her own! Thanks for all of your help!!
