URGENT: THERE ARE 8 PERSIANS AND HIMALAYANS AT THE ORANGE COUNTY SHELTER (SO. CALIF) WHO ARE AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY. ALL 8 OF THESE CATS WERE BROUGHT TO THE OC SHELTER TOGETHER AFTER BEING FOUND AT AN ABANDONED HOME. THE 4 YR OLD CALICO PERSIAN AND THE 5 YR OLD TABBY PERSIAN ARE ESPECIALLY NICE CATS. THE OTHER CATS ARE A LITTLE SHY AND ALL NEED TO BE GROOMED.

THE OC SHELTER IS FULL, AND TIME IS LIMITED. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO RESCUE ANY OF THESE CATS, PLEASE CALL PEGGY AT THE OC SHELTER ON SAT/SUN AT 714-935-7012 OR TAMMY ON MONDAY AT 714-935-6885 IF YOU CAN HELP.

If you would like to see the pictures of these babies, and they are beautiful, Follow these steps: (direct links are near imposible)

1. go to www.petharbor.com
2. type in 92868
3. Click Find Shelters
4. A long list will appear, scroll to Orange County Animal Care
(about the 15th one down)
5. Then in upper right of screen hit "search now"
6. next click "I LOST MY PET" it is the only way to pull these up.
7. next click cats
8. Finally hit BOTH persians & Himalayans for breed and nothing else, then search, (yes one at a time for breed, you can use back on the back screen on the buttons.

This area is completely full of fosters. We are scrambling to save these beautiful cats."

"This cat is at the Clayton county animal control, a very high kill shelter, cats have very limited time there.

this cat was given up by its owner because he couldn't care for him anymore.

Zeller is a purebred all-white persian male. He is already altered and very very sweet, his fur seems to be in good condition.

Michaelangelo - called just plain Mike by his famiy, is a 9 year old neutered male. He is declawed in front. He was terrorized as a kitten by a big brother (oneof the largest cats I have ever seen) and a dog. He is very shy and has lived with just adults since he was a kitten. He is in need of a home with no other pets or children. He resides in Madison, Connecticut. He came with papers, but I do not know if I could find them after nine years - as he was neutered they were not important to us. He eats Special Kitty canned food from Wal-Mart and while he loves dry food he tends to throw up after eating it. He has been seen regularly by a local Vet and is up-to-date on his innoculations - but will need some in the Sept-Oct time frame.

I can send a digital picture of him to you if you are interested.

Madison does not have a shelter that accepts cats and all the local no-kill shelters I talked to will only take strays and ferals. I am willing to deliver him anywhere in Connecticut, lower Mass. Rhode Island or along the CT/NY border. Jean Lowery

This kitty is located in Nashville, TN and was found in just horrible shape. A lady has taken her in and fixed her up and fed her well, but lives in an apartment and needs to get this kitty a home FAST. Y'all feel free to email her at legendshelties@comcast.net.
