Naming Your New Kitten

We got a new kitten a couple of weeks ago. We picked her out a week before time to pick her up, and that gave me time to run through names. I name all my girls after flowers, and that part is normally easy enough, but I like to give them a great registered name as well as a great call name (or nickname).

I have a Buttercup, who is Wild Meadow Buttercup, and I have a Jasmine, who is Moonlight on the Grove. Our newest little girl is a tortoiseshell Persian, and her breeder had nicknamed her “Flame Girl” because she has a distinct red flame going up the center of her forehead. I wanted to keep Flame as part of her name somehow but still name her after a flower. A week on Google helped me find Dancing Flames Poppy. So now we have a beautiful Poppy to accompany our Jasmine and Buttercup.
