Being a true animal lover, I never miss a dog show and sometimes even watch the reruns. I didn't know, however, that there are also cat shows on television. I've never been able to see a cat show in person, so I'm really anxious for this opportunity to join in the fun!
Cat-Minster is hosted by Purina and is being shown on GSN, the Game Show Network. This year, the show will follow five breeders through their process of creating the perfect show cat from kittenhood. You can meet the breeders and their beautiful cats on GSN's website.
The second half of the show will be the cat show itself, which is hosting 41 breeds and over 700 competitors from all over the world. The excitement begins at 6 pm CST on April 1, 2007.
While you're waiting, stop by and see some of the contenders. I'm in love with the blue Persian, Jadon Comefly With Me of Kenkat, but the blue and white bicolor Inthewind Hollee'Berrie has the most adorable cheeks I've ever seen!
For those of you who just can't wait, GSN has a few fun things to help you pass the time. Be sure to check out the videos and pictures. You can even submit pictures of your own feline friend, and they might even make the show!
